Great little sensor!
This is the best Presence/Motion Sensor out there at the moment! A huge amount of config/settings are available to you and it may take you a few minutes to dial it in if you only want it to react to a certain body size etc.
It can connect to your system of choice by ZigBee, Matter, Apple Home. There are several ways you can connect it to get the best out of it. However I would recommend grabbing an Aqara Stick Hub like the M100, connecting it via that in the Aqara app to check for any f/w updates and to get a good feel of all the options/config available to you. If connected via Matter you can then just share it on to your system or remove it and add it directly via Matter or ZigBee. The reason for doing this is that with it being relatively new, not all Systems will have the ability to access all of the Sensors settings until the drivers are brought up to speed on you actual System. Go search your Systems Community/Forums, I'm pretty sure you will find plenty of advice on the best way to add it! 👍🏼
It differs from normal Motion Sensors not only with the tech behind how it works but also that it does not reset after x seconds (like a normal Motion Sensor), but when it no longer detects a 'presence'. This may sound like a small thing but it can give you huge improvements to your routines, 'mood' settings and security etc.
You also have the added bonus of it reporting Temperature, Lux and Humidity!👍🏼
This is also one of the first sensors with this tech that runs on battery. Most if not all others out there have to be plugged into the wall to work. Others will follow but at the moment, you simply cannot beat the FP300!
Oh and it also looks great! Which cannot be said for many others out there! 🥴
